What we collect and why.

What we collect

• Interest registration. Your email address (required), and optionally the model you are interested in and a referral code if you arrived through someone's referral link. A flag may record whether the submission came from a person or an AI agent.
• Referral data. Each registrant receives a random referral code. If you share your link and others register through it, we record that those registrations are attributed to your code (a count), not their identities to you.
• Technical data. Your IP address is processed transiently to rate-limit submissions and protect the form from abuse. Cloudflare, which serves and stores data for shell3d.com, also records standard request logs (IP, user-agent, requested path, timestamp).
• Support correspondence. Email you send to [email protected] and any reply thread.

We collect no payment or card data (no payment is taken at this stage), and we do not run analytics or advertising trackers, set cookies, or fingerprint visitors. A confidential access key issued for the referral API is stored only as a one-way hash, never in the clear.

How we use it

• To add you to the interest list and email you when pre-orders open, and about related product news you asked for.
• To operate the Get Shelled referral program (issue your link, count referrals attributed to it).
• To protect the site (rate-limiting and abuse prevention).
• To respond when you contact us, and to meet legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sharing with data brokers. Any email we send will identify Sunnyday Technologies, include a valid postal address, and offer a working unsubscribe link, consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act.

Who we share with

• Cloudflare hosts shell3d.com, stores the interest list (Cloudflare D1), and records server logs. Privacy notice: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
• Google Workspace handles support email sent to [email protected].
• Tax and government authorities when required by law.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not provide it to third-party advertising or marketing networks.

How long we keep it

• Interest list: kept until you ask us to remove you, or until the interest campaign ends and a reasonable wind-down period passes.
• Support email threads: up to 3 years.
• Cloudflare access logs: retained per Cloudflare's published retention (typically days, not months).

No payment is collected at this stage, so no order, refund, or payment records exist. If paid ordering opens in the future, this policy will be updated before any payment data is processed.

Your rights

You can email [email protected] to:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your information (including removal from the interest list).
• Unsubscribe from interest emails at any time, via the email's unsubscribe link or by writing to us.

Residents of California and other states with privacy laws (e.g., the CCPA/CPRA and comparable acts) have additional rights and may submit requests through the same email. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under those laws.

Children

Shell3D is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

International

shell3d.com is operated from the United States, and the planned first production run is US-only. Cloudflare and Google operate global infrastructure, so data you submit may transit or be stored on servers outside your country of residence.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS by Cloudflare. The interest list is stored in Cloudflare D1; referral access keys are stored only as one-way hashes. No payment data is collected. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we limit collection to what is necessary and restrict access to it.
